1.Driving around school
• Get to school five to ten minutes early and leave five minutes late to avoid the mad dash into and out from the parking lots. Many accidents happen when kids are rushing around.
• If your school lot has perpendicular spaces (not angle parking), park in a space you can pull straight out of instead of having to back out. Backing out in crowed lots is tricky. Also, the Key Driving School has written me that pulling straight through a parking space is illegal in some states--so check your local traffic laws before using this tip.
• Watch for kids getting on and off school buses--and don't run into the school buses, either.
• Go slow
• Don't leave valuables like wallets, shoes, leather jackets or sports equipment in your cars where they can be seen because they invite break-ins.
• Always stop for school buses with flashing lights. The flashing lights mean that students are either getting on or off the bus--and may be crossing the street. Their safety depends on cars obeying this law.
• Don't park in fire lanes around the school. Not only will you probably get a ticket, but you could be blocking the area where a fire truck needs to park in case of an emergency.

10 Tips for long distance driving

Long distance driving should be a fun experience. The quality of the drive should be better than the quantity of arriving at your destination quickly, but exhausted. The safety is the first priority than the speed. These are the 10 valuable tips on your next trip for a long distance drive with car, so you can arrive safely to the next destination.

1. Check your car dashboard indicators, especially for the fuel level and the temperature. Make sure every indicator and switches work normal.

2. Open the engine hood and check every part of equipment inside the engine cabin, especially for the radiator lubricant, brake fluid, battery and the engine lubricant level. Make sure all of them in the high or normal level.

3. Check up all of the tires pressure, also the tire’s thickness (don’t forget to check the extra tire that you will bring with also). Replace the broken tires immediately. Sometimes it is better to lower the tire pressure a little, because hard tires are not comfort for a long distance drive.

4. Remove all of the unimportant things from your car cabin. It can reduce your car weight, and can reduce the fuel consumption of the car.

5. Do not use cruise control. Long distance driving can have a hypnotic and fatiguing effect. Cruise control emphasizes and enhances that effect.

6. Don't eat heavy food during the trip. You are going to be sitting and stationary for several hours at a time. Fast food in your stomach will give you a bloated and heavy feeling. coffee or hot chocolate is always a safe bet for long distance driving.

7. If you get tired, stop and get rest in a safe place. Fatigue can overtake you quickly, especially if you only watch the road in front of you instead of taking in the scenery while you drive.

8. Listen to fast, upbeat Music. Long distance drive is not the time to listen to classical music or talk radio, it can make you feel sleepy.

9. Bring a friend to accompany you, and he or she can be your navigator also. Beside long distance drive is not comfortable without any friend beside you.

10. The goal of long distance driving is to get to your destination safely, so, do not try to compete with every of the road devils there, unless you are already know better the situation of the road ahead. They know every details of the road there, from the narrow to the broken section, and that can be dangerous for your safety if you try to compete with them.

Enam Cara Penjagaan Tayar

TAYAR komponen paling utama dan terpenting bagi sesebuah kenderaan. Jika rosak, ia boleh menyebabkan kemalangan, sekali gus mengancam nyawa pemandu dan penumpang tanpa diduga.

Cuba periksa tayar kereta anda. Perhatikan di antara satu bunga tayar dengan satu bunga tayar lain terdapat satu penyambung. Jika penyambung itu mempunyai ketinggian yang sama dengan bunga, ini bermakna ia perlu ditukar dalam tempoh tiga hingga empat bulan, bergantung kepada sekerap mana anda menggunakan kenderaan.

Berikut beberapa panduan apabila anda mahu menukar tayar kereta.

PERTAMA

Pilih saiz yang sesuai dengan keupayaan kereta kita. Sebagai contoh, jika Proton Wira 1.3 dan hendak menggunakan sport rim, cukuplah setakat saiz rim 14 inci kerana jika menggunakan saiz 15 inci, kekuatan pecutan kereta akan menurun, speedometer tidak merekodkan bacaan tepat, semua peralatan penyerap hentak akan lebih pendek jangka hayat.

KEDUA

Selepas mendapat saiz sesuai,Perhatikan di bahagian tepi tayar. Terdapat satu rangkaian nombor yang dicetak tenggelam ke permukaan tepi tayar. Sebenarnya rangkaian nombor ini memberikan kita maklumat mengenai tarikh tayar dikilangkan (minggu dan tahun).

Maklumat ini kita boleh gunakan untuk tujuan keselamatan. Mengikut piawaian tayar antarabangsa, ia hanya boleh bertahan selama dua tahun selepas dikilangkan.

KETIGA

Mengenai saiz, cuba perhatikan rangkaian nombor dan huruf yang tercetak timbul di permukaan tepi tayar. Sebagai contoh 205/50 VR 16 bermaksud tayar itu mempunyai kelebaran 205 mm, ketebalan (dari rim ke permukana jalan) adalah 50 peratus daripada kelebaran 205 mm dan untuk kegunaan rim bersaiz 16 inci. Huruf VR bermaksud, tayar itu sesuai untuk kelajuan sehingga 240 km/j tanpa menjejaskan kekuatan dan ketahanan tayar.

KEEMPAT

Kebanyakan kita lebih suka memilih tayar import. Bagaimanapun, kebanyakan tayar berkenaan dibuat berdasarkan iklim dan apabila digunakan di Malaysia yang panas terik, jangka hayatnya lebih pendek.

KELIMA

Tayar sepatutnya ditukar kedudukannya setiap tiga bulan. Caranya, tayar depan kiri ditukarkan ke kanan belakang dan tayar depan kanan ditukarkan ke kiri belakang.

KEENAM

Sekiranya kadar kehausan bunga di bahagian tepi kiri dan kanan lebih cepat berbanding di tengah, ini bermaksud selama tekanan angin tayar kurang.
